In artificial intelligence, you have machine learning. In other words, machine learning is one of the many sub-technologies that data science makes possible. So, rather than data science being different from machine learning itself, machine learning becomes part of data science. What does data science have to do with artificial intelligence? Once again, the practical concepts of AI would not be possible without data science.
AI is still a work in progress, but the goal is for technology to mimic or improve human cognitive thinking and decision-making processes. Any application of artificial intelligence—no matter how complex—depends entirely on data and the system’s ability to industry mailing list that data. So while not all data science is artificial intelligence (or machine learning), artificial intelligence in a practical sense would not exist without the well-designed/discovered theory or practice of data science.
What is the difference between data science and data analysis? Data analytics is the specific process of analyzing data to extract insights. Traditionally, this was a manual process performed by data analysts, but thanks to automation, machine learning and artificial intelligence, this is all changing. We are now at a point where data analysis can be shared between human analysts and algorithms.
